Fort Mitchell

Fort Mitchell is an appealing small city well known for its lovely homes, tree lined streets, and strong community spirit.

One of the oldest suburbs in the area, it remains today one of the most desirable. Young families appreciate the schools and recreational opportunities for children. People of all ages enjoy the gracious friendly ambiance. Transportation

Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (T.A.N.K.) buses serve the Ft. Mitchell area. Via I-75, driving time to downtown Cincinnati is 5-10 minutes, 15 minutes to Florence Industrial Park, and 15 minutes to Greater Cincinnati Airport.

Churches

The Blessed Sacrament Church and Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church offer services in the immediate area. Other denominations are located in neighboring communities.

Hospitals

St. Elizabeth and St. Luke West hospitals are both within 10 minutes. The University of Cincinnati Medical Center is a 20 minute drive.

Schools

Public school education in Ft. Mitchell is provided by the Beechwood Independent School system. A college prep curriculum is offered to high school students. The school also offers extracurricular programs that include athletics and music. Blessed Sacrament serves elementary parochial students. Parochial high schools available are Covington Catholic, Villa Madonna and Notre Dame. Special education classes are provided at Redwood School including speech therapy, learning disabilities, and classes for Cerebral Palsy victims. Nearby Riverside Good Counsel School provides education for the mentally retarded. The Northern Kentucky Montessori Center offers classes for pre-school and primary students.

Shopping

Fort Mitchell shopping area serves daily needs. Major shopping areas in downtown Cincinnati, Covington, Crestview Mall and Florence Mall can be reached within 15 minutes.

Recreation

Fort Mitchell Country Club, which has a golf course, tennis courts and swimming pool, and Beechwood Swim Club is a private club within the city. A public golf course and public parks are nearby.
